IObit's Malware Fighter is powerful anti-malware tool that has simple, yet pleasing interface that is well designed. The main window consists of four basic options: Scan, Protect, Update, and Action Center. The app’s other settings and features are mainly hidden and live in the settings panel to the right. The rest of the window is crisp and clean with scanning settings and options that are displayed as on/off switches.
During testing IObit's Malware Fighter made no claims of false positives upon detecting the usual temp files cached in the browser. The scan speeds were decent considering drive size and file structure. One notable downside is the app classifies the absence of Advanced SystemCare and Smart Defrag as 'problems.' This wouldn’t be too bad in itself, however, there is no option to clear these warnings and upon ‘fixing’ them an automatic download and installation of IObit's other apps occurred. Despite IObit’s shameless self publicising, if you need an easy-to-use, lightweight malware scanner, then Malware Fighter is a good choice.
