While tablets are selling well and being used for content consumption, notebooks are still an integral part of most people’s work life and creating content. Dell’s latest offering in the business-cum-home segment is the Inspiron 3542 – a 15.6-inch laptop perfectly balanced for your next desktop replacement. Dell has completely transformed the Inspiron series of notebooks with looks, design and functionality. Moreover, the Dell Inspiron 3542 features a touch-screen display making computing a whole lot easier for young and elderly users alike. In addition to its interactive display there’s a lot more that Inspiron 3542 offers. Let’s dig into what Dell has in store for its audience with this inspiring Inspiron.
Design & Build Quality:
Dell has mostly used the silver colored metallic finish for its Inspiron series. With 3542 they have gone all black, which looks elegant and the matte textured finish gives it a more business-centric look. The top panel is covered in a beautiful cross-section texture with centrally placed engraved Dell logo. On the inner side of the top cover you get a High-Definition touch-enabled display that produces crisp picture quality with vibrant colors enhancing your visual experience for videos and pictures. Since it’s a 15.6-inch notebook, there is ample room for palm rest beneath the keyboard and around touchpad. The Inspiron 3542 features a full-sized keyboard and an extremely important separate numpad for quick calculations. Sadly, the keypad is not backlit.
